Satellite Transmission of Your VNR:
Your segment is transmitted twice, providing maximum news room penetration.
Advisories
A facsimile notification about your VNR is transmitted
to an exclusive news circuit of television stations and cable
systems nationwide. This direct transmission goes to over 800
TV news rooms where they are easily accessed by news room decision-makers.
In addition, follow-up calls are placed to the 25-30 top markets
of your choice.
Electronic Usage Monitoring
Five Star provides electronic tracking services
through Nielsen's "SIGMA" which monitors over 1,100 full power
commercial broadcast stations in all 210 designated market areas
plus 28 national cable networks and superstations, as well as
broadcast network feeds. Nielsen's "SIGMA" electronic stamp is
placed on the invisible portion of the VNR tape. Nielsen decoders
nationwide scan the airwaves of all 210 Nielsen markets for your
VNR's code, and we report all usage to you.
Reporting
VNR usage is tracked for a total of thirteen weeks,
and reports are generated weekly. In addition to usage, the Five
Star tracking report will also include:
- Television station ranking
- Television station call letters
- Time of airing
- Tracking of Internet activity pertaining to your story
- Market demographic profile for each confirmed airing
